Bennett Project
Bennett Project – Basement Renovation & Remodelling
The Bennett Project highlights our ability to transform an unfinished basement into a comfortable, functional, and modern living space. Completed in Moncton, New Brunswick, in June 2026, this renovation added valuable square footage while improving the home’s comfort, safety, and long-term value through quality craftsmanship and careful planning.
Project Overview
Our team completed a comprehensive basement renovation that included demolition, framing, drywall installation, plumbing, electrical upgrades, flooring, painting, and the installation of a code-compliant egress window. As a result, the once-unused basement became a bright and inviting living area featuring a new bedroom, recreation room, and bathroom.
Basement Renovation
First, we removed an existing interior partition wall to open the space. Next, we constructed new walls to create a practical layout that includes a spacious bedroom, recreation room, and modern bathroom. Throughout the project, we focused on maximizing both comfort and functionality while maintaining an efficient floor plan.
Egress Window Installation
To meet current building code requirements, we installed a new 45″ × 29″ egress window for the bedroom. In addition to improving safety, the larger window allows significantly more natural light into the basement. Furthermore, we designed an optional window well that connects to the existing foundation drainage system to promote proper water management and help protect the home from moisture.
Drywall & Painting
After completing the framing, our team installed new drywall ceilings, strapping, bulkheads, and wall finishes throughout the renovated areas. We then carefully prepared every surface before applying primer and two coats of premium-quality paint. Consequently, the finished space offers a clean, bright, and durable appearance.
Flooring & Interior Doors
Next, we installed luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the basement and on the staircase to create a seamless transition between rooms. We also installed new interior doors, including a frosted glass pocket door and a sliding closet door, which complement the home’s modern design while maximizing usable space.
Plumbing & Electrical
In addition, we completed all plumbing rough-ins for the new bathroom and upgraded the electrical system throughout the renovated area. The electrical improvements included recessed LED pot lights with dimmer switches, GFCI-protected outlets, additional receptacles, and code-compliant access to the electrical panel. Together, these upgrades improve convenience, safety, and energy efficiency.

- A spacious recreation and entertainment area
- A modern and functional bathroom
- Improved lighting and enhanced energy efficiency

Moreover, every stage of the project reflected our commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail, and long-lasting construction solutions.
