Detached Garage Construction – Kenview Dr., Moncton, New Brunswick

RJC & Sons Construction Inc. started the construction of a detached garage project at Kenview Dr. in Moncton, New Brunswick.

From the initial permit process and site preparation through concrete work, framing, rough-ins, roofing, drywall, and final construction, our team managed and coordinated the different stages of the project.

This project demonstrates our ability to handle residential construction from the early planning stages through to completion, with a focus on proper coordination, quality workmanship, and safe construction practices.

Project Overview

The detached garage project at Kenview Dr. required coordination across multiple stages of construction. RJC & Sons Construction Inc. was responsible for the required construction work, supervision, labour, materials, equipment, and project coordination associated with the agreed scope.

Before construction began, our team also handled the permit process and followed up with the City of Moncton to help move the project through the required approval process.

Construction officially started on May 11, 2026, and the project was completed through a series of carefully coordinated construction stages.

Permit Processing & City Coordination

Before work began on site, RJC & Sons Construction Inc. took care of the permit process for the detached garage.

Our team coordinated the required documentation and followed up with the City of Moncton throughout the approval process. Taking care of this early stage helped prepare the project for construction and allowed the work to proceed once the required approvals were in place.

Site Clearing & Preparation

Once the project was ready to begin, our team prepared the area for construction.

The initial work included clearing the designated construction area and removing trees and other obstructions. Proper site preparation created a suitable work area for the foundation and construction work that followed.

Concrete Foundation & Slab

After the site was cleared and prepared, construction progressed to the concrete stage.

Our team coordinated the preparation and pouring of the concrete foundation and slab for the detached garage. This provided the solid and level base required for the structure.

Framing

With the concrete work completed, the garage began to take shape during the framing stage.

Our team constructed the walls and structural components of the garage according to the project plans. Careful attention was given to measurements, alignment, and the overall structure as the building progressed from the foundation into the main construction phase.

Plumbing & Electrical Rough-In

As the structure progressed, the required plumbing and electrical rough-in work was coordinated as part of the construction process.

The rough-in stage allowed the necessary services to be positioned before the walls were closed, ensuring that the work could continue into the interior finishing stages.

Roofing

Once the framing was completed, the project progressed to the roofing stage.

The roof was installed to protect the structure from the weather and provide the completed garage with its exterior roof system. Completing the roofing allowed the project to continue into the interior construction and finishing stages.

Drywall Installation

Following the completion of the necessary rough-in work, the interior progressed to drywall installation.

Our team installed and prepared the drywall throughout the applicable areas, creating the finished wall and ceiling surfaces of the garage.
