Heron Way Project – Interior Home Renovation

The Heron Way Project showcases our expertise in residential renovations, delivering modern interior upgrades that improve comfort, functionality, and energy efficiency. Completed in Shediac, New Brunswick, this renovation focused on updating key living spaces with high-quality finishes, improved building performance, and thoughtful design solutions tailored to the homeowner’s needs.

Project Overview

Our team completed a comprehensive interior renovation that included kitchen improvements, flooring restoration, painting, electrical upgrades, insulation improvements, door replacements, and a variety of interior repairs. Throughout the project, we focused on enhancing both the appearance and functionality of the home while preserving its existing character.

Kitchen Renovation

We installed a new Rivera Alabastro 1×1 glass mosaic backsplash throughout the kitchen. The backsplash extends beneath the upper cabinets and beside the stove to create a clean, modern finish that complements the overall kitchen design.

Door Replacement

Our team replaced four sliding glass doors throughout the home, including the living room, main bedroom, and TV/sitting room. The new doors improve natural light, energy efficiency, and everyday functionality while providing a refreshed appearance.

Electrical Upgrades

We completed several electrical improvements to enhance safety and comfort. These upgrades included relocating baseboard heaters, replacing older heaters and thermostat controls, installing GFCI receptacles in wet areas, replacing spotlights, and installing a new doorbell cover. Each improvement meets current electrical standards and supports better energy efficiency.

Hardwood Flooring Restoration

The existing hardwood flooring was professionally sanded and refinished with a modern grey and whitewash stain. Surface preparation and finishing created a durable, refreshed floor that enhances the home’s contemporary interior.

Insulation & Energy Efficiency

We improved the home’s thermal performance by adding blown-in attic insulation to achieve approximately R-50 insulation value. We also insulated and air-sealed the attic access hatch to reduce heat loss and improve overall energy efficiency.

Interior Repairs & Finishing

Our team completed numerous repairs and finishing upgrades throughout the home. These improvements included replacing baseboards, repairing shower caulking, securing the toilet, installing new storage room hardware, repairing window trim, sealing windows, replacing kitchen toe boards, removing the TV wall mount, repairing drywall, and installing new porcelain tile around the fireplace for a modern, seamless finish.

Interior Painting

Finally, we repainted selected interior spaces using high-quality finishes and colours approved by the homeowner. Painting included the living room feature wall, kitchen island wall, laundry room, main bedroom feature wall, and downstairs bathroom, creating a bright, refreshed appearance throughout the home.
